DESIGN

I work with clients who have any number of requirements for digital creative media. I develop branding, logos, design guides, social media posts, animation, motion graphics, film, photography and so on. Here are a small selection of projects I have worked on in recent years that have been both inspiring and challenging in their scope and ambition. If you would like to discuss an idea for a project you have, feel free to get in touch to discuss.

THE FOOD LIBRARY - BRANDING, LABEL DESIGN

Co-founders of The Food Library Michael Mayhew and Laura Elliot commissioned me to develop their logo primarily.
Once this was in place they were ready to roll out their produce. And that required labels……

GT Yachts approached me needing a Web Design Style Guide & Website Wireframe based on existing logo branding for use by their Web developer.
The existing branding focused on the logo and the colours within. A strong feature of this was a contrast between a number of greys / grey/blues and a thin yellow line used to underline the logo text.

This yellow line became a feature accross the site and a good colour for ‘call to action’ buttons.
A font pairing of a Sans Serif for headings and Serif for body text created a style that suits the essential message the website was aiming to communicate to potential customers about their yachts: Great contemporary design informed by the traditions of tried and tested engineering.

GSF Videography, Animation and Motion Graphics

I was approached by multinational corporate cleaning company GSF to devise and film 24in-house training videos based on scripts the client provided, for use as operatives’ e-learning. Responsibilities included on location filming, studio photography of cleaners materials and kit, production of motion graphics and animation.

PETERSFIELD CLIMATE ACTION NETWORK

My work with PeCAN has comprised of some voluntary contributions and some commissioned work.

I have provided PeCAN with graphics since it’s launch in 2020. This began with their logo and brand design guide. The next major step was developing a website design guide including a wireframe, example pages and a sitemap. Additionally I have been asked to design posters for use at public events. Recently I was commissioned to design all the marketing and publicity for Petersfield EcoFair, including posters banners and leaflets.

FITFOLK - BRANDING, ANIMATION, ILLUSTRATION

I worked with fitfolk founder Lindsay Wilson for around a year (on and off) as creative director for his startup company. The idea (novel at the time) was that people don’t need punishing diets to lose weight, and keep lean. Instead it’s just about monitoring and managing what you eat. The work began with brand design, creating the logo, choosing the colour scheme. We then worked on two series of films. Seven films in each series. Each film being approximately 80 seconds long and conforming to the same structure: Introduction and conclusion by Lindsay with head and shoulders sandwiching 40-50 seconds of branded infographic animation. In the film below are a few samples taken from these films.

Consecutively Lindsay’s website required on-brand header images for pages, and blog articles.
